wow, thanks for the pics, thinking strongly of removing at least side stripes.

Is there locating pins under the rear deck lid panel? Or the Mach1 badges just stuck on there and it’s actually a smooth panel from factory?

I would probably just keep the Mach 1 badging on the side, but would definitely ditch the stripes. I just find vinyl stripes so JC Whitney.

I can’t say for sure if there are pins. Everything I can find says the emblem itself is plastic welded on so taking it off is likely to damage the panel itself.

Go to the dealer, do not not pass go, ask someone in the body shop/ part counter.

For that matter any body shop can answer the question. Think about it ?

So your telling me I shouldn't have a blank ford performance decklid in the mail right now.....lol. Presumed they all had locating pins like my past GT.

Did you order the one without the horizontal line running across it?

The Ford Performance deck lid trim panel is the same one the factory uses. The holes are simply not drilled in it. The Mach 1 emblem has two sided tape. as do the ones on the front qtr fenders.

When you had all that work done on your car did your body shop confirm the rear emblem was only held on by tape?

the FRPP one has the two lines in the middle, which my Mach 1 does not. I had a FRPP on my GT and it had the lines. Im thinking the MAch1 panel might be its own unique piece with no lines and no holes

There was a ford panel at one point that did not have the lines but they are hard to find these days

I knew that before hand as I had the FP blank panel I'd bought for the GT 350 to install on the Mach 1. With what they cost, I sure as hell wasn't leaving it on there for the next owner.
