My 2015 Premium Sync system has no sound. No button presses, no radio, nothing at all. It looks like it is working normally, and playing music, I just can't hear anything at all.

Yesterday when I went outside, my car was dead. I jumped it, and since then, the radio not working.

I have reset the Sync. Disconnected battery for a few minutes, restarted car several times. Nothing working. Right now I disconnected battery again, and will leave it disconnected for 30 minutes. Not sure what else to try. Apparently several others have had this problem when searching on internet, but fixing it is hit or miss.....Any other suggestions?

Hi desant89,

Have you checked to see if the software is up to date? You can find the software info here: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/keep-your-sync-up-to-date.html

Nothing touched. Not even getting a feedback beep when touching the screen....My guess is a factory amplifier problem. Every fuse is good though. No way all the speakers are disconnected. I have aftermarket amp for the Focal fronts using the factory amp OUT signal, and the rears are still connected to the factory amp as normal. So if the factory amp would go out, I'd expect get nothing which I think is the case here.

Pull the sync fuse in the kick panel. This happened a few times in my 13.

Tried that also. I have an appt with my installer today (made before this happened). I will let them check it out. At this point, I think I am going to add rear speakers anyway, and totally disregard the factory amp. So if the sync unit is putting out a signal, and this problem is due to a factory amp problem, I should be ok. Dealers near me have no openings this month or I would see them first.

I guess if you have zero sound from anything it could be more than pulling the fuse. If the radio works just not sync this usually works.
