No Second Gear Fun?

That was a Gen 1 Coyote. Gen 2s like ours have better heads, flow better, and make more power easier.

It's all a balance of boost, timing, compression and knock resistance. Coming from an import tuner background, I can understand how some of this may be hard to believe, but the Coyote is pretty darn impressive.

no doubt, honestly i can't believe the numbers people get. I don't have the piggy bank for a built short block, so i cant just take a mans word on the matter. I run my cars with all they have, I know going that big right out of the gate will make for some short fun. Down the road it gets more promising. Once the college loans are clear ill have some other stuff paid off as well and we will definitely put the wood to her then.

That's way too much power for the old school TVS supercharger design, even the 2.65L. The Whipple is a far more efficient design and larger supercharger, so you don't need as much boost/heat to make the same power. But then again, a lot comes down to the tuner as well, and their experience on what's reliable and what will blow up. Obviously that's not a shop or tuner that I would go to.

Don't take my word for it, take the word of the people who are making that power reliably (out of WHIPPLES). My comment of 800-1,000whp on stock blocks were for whippled cars, not TVS; which are proven to make less power than whipples.

Given where you're at with college loans, I wouldn't be looking at a supercharger at all.
