This has happened 3 times in my 8 months of ownership. No SD means I lose the Sat Nav but it occurred to me today that as I lose the iPod connected to the USB slot next to the SD card slot that maybe there is a fault in that little panel.

Anyone else had the same problem?

I've had the SD card disappear a couple of times. Once - turning the car off and on again sorted it.

Second time, I did that again and the whole Sync thing quit on me - blank screen. Switched the car off again and left it for a minute and then powered up again. Screen told me it was doing "Scheduled maintenance" which it did for a few seconds before coming back to normal. Haven't had it since.

Hi Cara, Thank you for the link but will registration work for UK Mustang owners and will the Sync 2 update be compatible with our UK Mustangs?
Registration and downloads will work for the GB and EU cars.

Have you tried holding the power button and right arrow together for 5s ?

The link to register asks for a ZIP code and it won't accept my UK postcode so I can't register for Sync 2 updates.

I have registered on the Ford UK site but that site does not offer Sync 2 updates.

How do UK Mustang owners get Sync 2 updates?

Just put any random zip code in.

90210 will do.

Hey Actual,

The software updates are vehicle specific, so I wouldn't recommend putting a random zip code in. You can contact your local Customer Relationship Center to see if there is an update available for your vehicle. Reach out to them here: http://corporate.ford.com/our-company/country-websites

The zip code is just to allow you to register on the US Ford site. Ford in their awesome customer support haven't bothered with a European version.

The download is assigned to your VIN code, which you also need to input. So there's no danger of getting something not meant for your car.

I'm surprised a Ford rep. Is distributing such poor info on the forums.

Just enter a US postcode to allow you in to the portal and then your actual VIN code to verify any potential downloads.

There is zero potential drama here.

Use this, works a treat for the address and post code

rodeo drive beverly hills 90210

and it will ask for your vin number, so you will get the right updates
only downside is as Ford think you are "loaded" you will get a ton of crap offers, and also the posh shops will email you.
haha

Hi kapiteinlangzaam,

The US and UK software versions differ, which is why we refer International customers to speak to their local Customer Relationship Center.
