I'm not saying anything about a sports car. I'm saying its insane that people need more electronics than an Apache gunship to back a car out of a parking space. Its getting ridiculous.
It's not more electronics per say. The mirrors are already motorized and it's as simple as a software update could add this tilt feature.

lol. If there's something that can help that doesn't add a lot of weight or cost a lot, why the heck not? I'm sure there were some people who used to say the same about things like cruise control and other items that were once "luxury" but now standard on almost all cars.

scott,

this is what i believe you are looking for:

http://www.kptechnologies.com/products.php#/13

to each their own. all it takes is one bad rainy night parallel parking to ruin your shiny expensive aftermarket wheels and then find out how much it costs to fix
Cool. I wasn't looking for aftermarket, but that's great to know. I might actually consider it. Thanks!

good luck. this is what they install at my local dealership as an aftermarket add on to customer's cars, as well as a car electronics shop that i frequent so i am going make the assumption that it is a reliable unit that works.

Thanks!

Use one of the 3 presets - tilt the mirror down and store position 2 or 3. then just press 1 when you're done backing up.
Great idea! I am still going to see if I can find an ASBUILT value to change that though so it changes when shifted into reverse.

Anything that helps with near-distance visibility/sensing helps. It's impossible to see much of the periphery of the car from the driver's seat. And while the Mustang may in some sense be considered a sports car, people forget how long it is - at 188" in length it's over a foot longer than an M240i, and nearly a foot longer than even the Vette. Compare it to a 3' shorter Miata or a 2' shorter 370Z.....

You can thank the search function for that! And, because I finally got FORScan.

Search

And some people say that the search function doesn't work.....:shrug::clap2:
It works well enough I have now used FORScan to get rid of the double honk, change my splash screen, turn on the fog lights with the high beams and used it to find out how to put Sync 3 2.2 on my 2016 Mustang :)

What bonus does Sync 2.2 give you? Android Auto is on 2.0. Is it just Apple Carplay? which you need a new USB hub for.
Reading it, I thought it was the 2017 cars that needed 2.2 to upgrade to AA and carplay?
I have version 2.0 with AA on it, dont have a I Phone, so not even sure I have Apple Carplay on version 2.0 or not

2017 cars already have it. It adds CarPlay and Android Auto to the 2016 cars. I noticed her ( not Siri) voice is different. The display has little changes and that is all I've seen so far. I've only done it to my Stang and a friend's Edge so far.
