They're not directional from what I can find.
Had I known that I would've paid a bit extra to go up from the Nitto 555s.
Also realize the treadware rating on the Invos is quite low meaning they will wear out faster than the stock Pirelli's or other comparable tires.

They rated the 555 better in many categories and only slightly less in noise, steering and cornering; but better hydroplane/wet and much better tread wear. About the same on noise. I don't find the 555 noisy.
They're only $30 difference per tire so I can't imagine they're THAT different performance wise. The tread life was a big deciding factor in the 555 over the Invos for me.
Oh of course. Just an example opinions can vary widely on the issue.Nitto's own website rates the 555 as much noisier.
