They're not directional from what I can find.

Had I known that I would've paid a bit extra to go up from the Nitto 555s.

Also realize the treadware rating on the Invos is quite low meaning they will wear out faster than the stock Pirelli's or other comparable tires.

555 Noisy

I am almost ready to do my wheel swap and was going to go with 555, but many reviews and even Nitto's, own site say there noisy.

Invo's for me too I think.

Americanmuscle's ratings:

Invo

Hydroplaning Resistance: 8.5
Wet Traction: 8.6
Dry Traction: 9.4
Snow Traction: N/A
Ice Traction: N/A
Steering Response: 9.2
Cornering Stability: 9.2
Ride: 8.6
Noise: 8.5
Tread Wear: 7.5

555s

Hydroplaning Resistance: 8.8
Wet Traction: 8.7
Dry Traction: 9.4
Snow Traction: N/A
Ice Traction: N/A
Steering Response: 8.9
Cornering Stability: 9.0
Ride: 8.7
Noise: 8.4
Tread Wear: 8.3

So

They rated the 555 better in many categories and only slightly less in noise, steering and cornering; but better hydroplane/wet and much better tread wear. About the same on noise. I don't find the 555 noisy.

They're only $30 difference per tire so I can't imagine they're THAT different performance wise. The tread life was a big deciding factor in the 555 over the Invos for me.

Go to Mfg site

Nitto's own website rates the 555 as much noisier.

Heck I don't know I am new too all this. Chris

both are good the NT555 ranks a bit higher then the Invo, but its noisier so you have to give something up to gain something pretty much.

Oh of course. Just an example opinions can vary widely on the issue.

I chose 555s mainly because of the better wet traction, and in South FL that is greatly needed more than half of the year. Better treadlife was of course a factor too buying less tires is always better.

But again, knowing what I know now about directional I would've chosen the Invos as they are not directional while the 555s are.
