Nitrous? Do's and Don'ts?

I am interested in running nitrous in my 2015 eco. All of this is pretty new to me. I have seen a couple people running it on the GTs and I know there is a kit out for our cars. Any advice on this? Thanks.

I've got a local cat that is running a 175hp shot of nitrous on his relatively stock EBM. Running a dry shot, untuned, with just a few bolt ons. Been running it for months this way, racing, etc without issue. If it were me, I'd run a much smaller shot than that if dry, or would only be comfortable with a wet kit, tuned.

Lexi is running spray in her car. I think direct port from NX. And I believe UPR is spraying their car.

He will destroy that engine before long. Big dry shot untuned on a turbo car is bad news.

Completely agree!! Yet it's been running on a Cobb OTS tune for months, much to my dismay lol.

Being that we are one of the few successful candidates of nitrous for the past year, It all depends on your set up and fueling along with tuning like from Lund Racing, it can be great. The plate kit NX just released is awesome and will do the job nicely if you choose not to do a nozzle kit.

NX offers a fuel cell which I would recommend using for it as the stock pump / mech pump will not supply enough.

Completely agree!! Yet it's been running on a Cobb OTS tune for months, much to my dismay lol.

If the EBM tune is anything like the Focus RS I'm tuning right now the factory wide open throttle timing advance is a joke. On good 93 it's 0* midrange and a whopping 6* up top. Stock PE lambda especially the higher rpms is on the richer side for a GDI engine as well which is helping him as well.
(From my 9 years tuning GDI 2.0 turbo Chevy Cobalts, HHRs, Skys and Solstices makes the 2.3 ecoboost seem familiar to me like an old friend).

Edit. I thought by untuned you meant stock tune. Yeah give it a few more months and it will go boom maybe sooner.

If you go nitrous definitely go Lund and listen to what Jon and UPR have to say. Whatever they tell u to do, DO and the car will move and be safe/reliable.
