NGuage VIN lock question

I hear the NGuage VIN locks when a tune is loaded and if I were to return to my stock tune it would release the lock and be usable on another car. Does anyone know if this is true?

Im looking at switching the SCT but want to make sure my NGauge is unlocked before trying to sell it.

Do u mean unmarried from the car or unlocked from Lund?..it isn't unlocked from Lund by going back to stock.

If you bought the ngauge from lund, I believe it will only accept lund tunes. It's different if you buy it from ats, I believe.

Lund branded are locked to lund only tunes.

a lund ngauge will stay locked to that vehicle even when returned to stock. lund can move it to a different vehicle and unlock it, but lund must do that,

example, we had a customer total his car last week, and lund unlocked the gauge for use on tuning on the new car no charge.

Even after returning the car to stock with the nGauge, it will still be locked to that vehicle it tuned originally. Lund will unlock it for use on a new vehicle at no charge if it's a Lund nGauge and you are a current Lund customer OR if you are a new Lund customer and purchase a tune from a Lund dealer, like us.

If it's a HP Tuners nGauge, there is a $100 unlock fee if you want Lund to tune it.
