Ngauge KnockR PID Inquiry

Hey Guys

Noob Q. I just got the Ngauge and looking at the KnockR PID. I see positive Knock #s ranging .5 to 2.0. Are positive numbers bad?

Positive is bad... Means it's detecting knock. Minus means it's adding timing as the fuel is good.

I know it seems counter intuitive, but + numbers means knock sensors is detecting destination/knock and it's ruducing timing. So - knock numbers means it's adding timing.

+ = BAD , - = GOOD
You either are running bad gas (lower octane than your car is tuned for) or you have some vibration causing things to hit against each other. You have long tubes?

I have stock manifolds and running kenne bell kit tune. I just filled up on Shell 93 gas

I don't think pulling 2 degrees is excessive knock at all, it may be somewhat normal. Other factors are air inlet temps Kenne bell kits don't have fan setups so it may be normal to pull some timing. How much boost are you running.

I believe the kit is 9 lbs of boost. I have to hook it up to a mechanical boost gauge and find out
