Are Lund tunes for NA engines always spot on, or do some require datalogging and "tweaking" ? How about in summer, when its 100F ?

I googled for datalogging and came up with this. Should be something similar with Lund.

https://support.bamaperformance.com/hc/en-us/articles/201369429-How-do-I-datalog-my-vehicle-
How do I datalog my vehicle?

... All WOT logs should be done with the vehicle at full operating temperature. It is suggested to do this on a dyno or in a controlled ‘off-road” environment to avoid breaking any motor vehicle laws.

Technically you can data log not just every tune revision, but every time you fill up with new fuel and you will get different results. From what I understand most people are told flash and go you don't need to worry about any revisions.(This is hearsay) I wouldn't call the canned tune you get from lund spot on. I would say they think it's conservative enough to be safe with out logging it. The ecu should be able to compensate for 99% of all atmospheric pressure changes or temperature changes any car will run into.

If I was told no logging or revisions needed by a tuner I would insist. That goes for a car with only a tune to highly modified FI setups. Two things would be going through my mind, is this safe? and am I leaving power on the table with out logging/revising this.

I'm just surprised there's no explanation of the parameters and the logging procedures (gear, rpm range to log, etc). Seems crucial for ensuring your tune is good.

I was getting some false knock from my SP headers contacting the AC line bracket/bolt on the passenger side. If you've done any exhaust work, make sure you don't have any contact going on.

is there knock sensors for every cylinder? Or can a single knock sensor monitor all 8 cylinders?

Can we assume that all cylinders are all operate at the same temperature, such as that displayed by cylinder head temperature? What happens if one cylinder is slightly hotter than the others, either temporarily or all the time?

i was going to wait till sat to flash but i did it earlier. took pretty much 8 minutes like it said, car feels a hell of a lot better. anyway, going back to logging, i got this from alex @ lund

download this file and put it on your "configs" folder on your ngauge.
When picking datalogging, select this config.
Log with it. idle cruise wot. WOT on 3rd gear from 2-7k TC off.

edit..the file he is talking about is most likely the one you are currently using, if you goto config in your ngauge it should read

2011 PIDs_GENERIC_R5.dle

Like was said earlier, the negative number means it's ADDING timing. So you don't have any knock at all. I'm used to the Cobb from my Subaru having -knock as pulling timing, but on this car it's adding.
