Are they legal in CA and will they void the warranty? Are there certain one's that are legal?

Thank you,

No they are all illegal in CA. And they won't void the warranty as far as I know... But if your going to get them you should get them with a tune cuz I guess the engine will run rich if you use them on the stock tune. So basically since you need a tune, and a tune voids the warranty, you can say they will void the warranty

bbk shorty headers are 50 state legal

Hi, It looks like you have a V8 question but posted it in the V6 section?? So here are some headers for both the V8 and the V6.

BBK has made some V8 shorty headers that are currently in application for 50 state legal status.

Here is the link below that also has a nice installation video.

http://www.bbkperformance.com/produ...t-50-shorty-tuned-length-exhaust-headers.html

It looks like there will be some welding required to keep the drivers side catalytic converter in the same location.

The V6 headers in the link below are legal in all 50 states which would include California.

They should not make the car run rich as the O2 sensors or catalytic converters are not changed.

Many people who have tried these shorty headers for the V6 seem to like them quite a bit.

FYI

Thanks
