New Wheels and Alignment Concerns

I have new Velgen VMB9s in satin black installed and now need the car aligned since I'm lowered on BMR springs. It looks like most shops use the laser mounts that attach to the outside of the wheels during the alignment process. Has anyone had their wheels damaged by the mounts? Anything specifically I should look for in an alignment shop to make sure my wheels aren't scratched? I'm super paranoid because my last set of wheels were scratched during the mounting/balancing process.

It shouldn't unless they are being careless. The tools have soft plastic or rubber where they touch the wheels.
