Can you give me an idea how loud it is when the waste gates are open? not only do I want to be sneaky on the road but I dont want the wife to be aware the new "alternators" are actually a performance enhancement that makes the car louder..

Yes. If you desired to do some fabrication you could plumb it back into the exhaust.
