The HP is stiffer riding (tires & Springs) than the non HP. After 1K miles the ride is OK for me. I wonder how hard it will be to live with the low ground clearance of the front splitter. I see pictures on this forum of cars that I assume are HP cars with out the splitter. Did they just not put it on or have some of you removed it?

Problem is you bought a HP, for no apparent reason. You should have stuck with he Non HP car if your going to take away its capabilities
It's the exact same car, so the entire discussion is kind of pointless but to each his own. The PS4S is likely the best street/track tire.

I traded my 21 Mach 1 (9K miles) for a 21 Mach 1 HP with 3600 miles on it. Same everything except for the handling pack . I will never track the car. I just like the looks and the fact that it is a HP car. I drove almost 900 miles each way to pick it up. The trip back in the HP car was for the most part in the rain. I knew going in that Cup 2,s are not the best street tires but had no idea. Not a fun trip. I knew new tires were in the future but the future for me is ASAP. I will also get a wheel alignment with the new tires. This car is very unsafe on bad roads wet or dry. I have watched many You Tube guys tell about this great car but none have ever talked about how bad it is in real world driving. Maybe it is just this car.

I did a 550 mile drive home with my HP Mach 1 in the rain last weekend. I said the exact same thing. It was not fun at all. I'm going to throw some PS4 tires on, but I need to figure out what wheels to buy first (I plan on keeping the Cup 2 on the original wheels).

Are you planning to go with the same wheel / tire sizes or something more of the non HP setup?

Still researching. Hoping to see what others have tried and what the pros/cons are.
Almost certainly I won't get to a track with it this year, so its really about getting the PS4s on and finding a wheel I like (so I don't have to take off the Cup 2s from the stock wheels).

Update:
Had the HPs alignment set. Even with cup 2s the car drove so much better. Today I had the 305-30-19 / 315-30-19 Michelin 4S tires mounted & balanced drove 100 miles home. I think I have a real GT car now. Going on a trip soon will let you know.
Yes, I know this is not the intent of this car. However, it's my car and my intent to put road miles on it. See the USA in a MACH 1 today.

Interesting, was the prior alignment off? Willing to share specs for camber and toe? I picked up my 22 HP yesterday and on the drive home- 75mph toll way, I thought it felt a little unsettled. I have a lot of experience with Cup2s so thought it's probably not the tires but maybe the alignment. I also made sure they gave me the spring spacer blocks when I picked it up. Plan now is put some miles on it and then get it aligned. Glad you got yours sorted to your liking.

Ford Performance PP2-style black wheels with 305/30 and 315/30 PS4S. 19 x 10.5 front, 19 x 11 rear, almost identical offsets to the stock HP wheels. Hardly any tramlining, great handling, love the setup.

That's exactly what I've been looking for. Where did you get the wheels from? I would have gone with APEX VS-5RS, but they don't have a 10.5. Thank you for the response.
