You can configure a small handful of mildly useful settings, intro splash screen is one of them.

I just spoke to White Bear Lakes parts department and they the part number HU5Z-19A387-A posted on this topic has been superseded by PN GR3Z-19A387-B ? Can anyone confirm this?

My order for an HU5Z-19A387-A from White Bear Lake just came in today. Note different PN on the part itself...

I wonder if the part number block is model specific? The biggest difference I see is a part going from AA to AB. As mentioned, "G" apparently denotes 2016 and "H" denotes 2017 models.

I pulled part 14F014 from my car and installed 19A387, which works. I think you'll be fine as long as it's an "AB" part versus the "AA" part.

Negative on that, Ford Performance began to appear on every 2017 model SYNC 3 systems from factory, but with that comes a more refined, sharper HD splash screen, here are some other intro screens after 2.2 update:

Just got my USB unit from Walt Sweeney today (ordered last Wednesday I think it was). Did the update for non-nav with two usb drive and the two part update. Everything worked flawlessly. Apple Carplay works on the front port and the port in the arm rest. No issues at all.

Incredibly happy to have had this work! A lot less hassle then having the dealer do it I'm sure, though I am pretty disappointed at Ford for missing their timeline. I also wonder what dealers will be charging to do this?

Looks like I am late to the game with a video, I will post it anyway.
Update works like a charm, since I have a pixel only tested Android Auto (thankfully). I just need to buy a shorter Type C to Type A cable.
