Hello guys I purchased a used 2016 march build date ecoboost. I purchased the car 100 miles from where I live. The dealer that is in my town is horrible to deal with. They would not deal at all with me on any car they had on the lot weather it was a new or used one. I decided to look elsewhere and found the one I purchased. It has 4500 miles on it. How can I find out about what warranty is left? The reason im asking is because the backup light does not work. I looked and saw the bulb looks good not burnt out. Will it be best to take it to the dealer I purchased it from? Thanks for the help.

You should have a 36K/ 3 Year bumper to bumper warranty regardless of where you purchased it. I would ask in your region's sub for recommendations on a dealer for service.

Since it's a manufacture warranty, it should be transferable until it expires.

You have a link to that info? Normally the 3 year/36K factory warranty is on the car from the date of purchase, regardless of how many owners it's had.

yeah it's 3/36 car, number of owners is not a part of that deal. the only time it does the 1 owner things are the 10/100 like jeep use to do.

This booklet explains in detail the warranty coverages that apply to your
2016-model car or light truck. If you bought a previously owned
2016-model vehicle, you are eligible for any remaining warranty
coverages.

I looked it up on fords site and I have 31months or 36k miles whichever is first. It starts from the day the car is sold the timer starts. I don't believe it matters who has the car first owner or not. I called the dealer I purchased from and they will fix it.
