Why can't a camera be mounted to the scope to take a picture of the junk on the moon?

As i keep saying, the seeing won't allow it. Moving air cells distort a image. Not even the space scope above our seeing can see such a small object that far away.

Got it. I thought you meant it was because of human sight limitations.

The object is just too small at around 238,000 miles away.

It's the moving air cells that distort an image. Then is it correct that the farther away an object is the more it's image is distorted? If so then something very far away is not as it appears.

The size of a object means more. Most every star you see in the sky is many times bigger than our sun.

No land bases scopes can see say the rover we "left" on the moon? None?
Will you be able to see Uranus??????? :eyebulge: Sorry couldn't resist......... On a serious note, I love astronomy. I think that great what you're building. I was down on Roatan a while back and the stars there were just amazing. I was trying to remember all of the constellations because you could see everything there. Fun hobby.

The Dec gear is now installed on the saddle. Uranus at 800x looks like a small blue disk. Can't see any detail at over a billion miles away.
