What size scope do you need to see Jupiter and Saturn?

Just your eyes will do. But to see some detail on the planets disk a 4" does pretty good. The rings are easy to see in a 60mm scope. Feels like i went to bat with a ape as the parts to this mount are so heavy. Got most of the mount back together. What size scope do you need to see Jupiter and Saturn?
Never. I never fool with astrophoto work. I did some sun and moon shots with film once back in the 80's. Already sold the scope, and keeping the mount for other scopes i buy and sell. It has rained 25" since i bought my GT a month ago and it is screwing me up with priming and painting the mount. When are you going to be able to take pictures with this to post here?

Not really sly. My name is Charles i am a Capt and middle name starts with a C and last name starts with a P.Many times people look past the obvious because the answer is too easy right! All of these giant telescopes and a name of CCCP, you're a Russian spy!
