Hi Guys

I've been looking at Mustangs for a while now. I change my cars pretty frequently - current cars are a modified Audi S5 V8 Manual, Nissan Elgrand 3.5 V6, Discovery Sport and a BMW 520d M-Sport.

I was looking for something that I could use as a daily (don't do a huge amount of miles) but that I'd also enjoy enough to keep for a while!

I love the Mustangs in this orange colour, love the V8 and really wanted to Recaro seats. I saw this come up for sale the other day and it looks like I'll be picking it up tomorrow!

It's a 2018, done 18k miles, 5.0 V8 of course.

First of all, wondered if anyone on here knows the car? And second question (probably been asked loads before) - what should go straight on my shopping list in terms of mods? Suspension? Exhaust? Wheel Spacers?

Also read a few comments about the potential for oil cooler failure - does this affect all cars and what preventative maintenance can be done?

Any other tips gratefully received!

Wheel spacers or wider wheels, cat-back or axle back active exhaust with H-pipe. Then you can start thinking of suspension mods. There's quite a few suspension upgrades made by Steeda and they don't cost a fortune. If the car doesn't have Magneride, then look into coilovers, which will allow you to lower the car just a bit. Once all those are implemented you have to get a supercharger. Don't listen to anyone who says otherwise 😈🤪

Any recommendations on exhaust? And what size of wheel spacers?

What brand of coilovers are recommended? Thanks :)

Borla S-Type or ATAK.
Wheel spacers will require you trimming the studs. I'll try to find the width of mine as they are a staggered setup.
Pedders coilovers.

The OEM valved exhaust is pretty good - quiet when you want it to be and plenty loud enough when you don't.

Suspension mods are entirely down to what you want to achieve. Track day car, road car, or just ruin it for the looks! Check to see if you have Magneride first however.

If it is a daily driver you may find the stock setup is best.

The valved stock exhaust is really good, personally I wouldn't spend 2 grand putting a valved aftermarket catback on. I have recently put a borla switchfire midpipe in and it sounds fantastic, I can't imagine many would want more for a daily driver.

Thanks mate, can I ask where you got the Borla midpipe from?

Nemesis

The switchfire is the most expensive midpipe option, steeda do an H or X pipe for a fair chunk less cash, rousch as well, and I haven't heard them all in person so can't compare, but it does sound really good.

Don't mind spending the extra cash on a quality part to be honest, will take a look. Thanks!
