Doesn't seem to be the silver bit, that would be too easy! It's the black trim that surrounds/is in front of the screen. Going to have to remove and investigate.
I'm experiencing a really annoying high pitched squeak from the plastic trim around the digital instrument cluster. Seem to be a lot of flex in the left side, right is pretty stiff.
Anyone experienced this or have any ideas?
It's variable in how bad it is, sometimes nothing and sometimes...
The GT is actually slightly lighter than the new M3 comp according to the stats I can find, a hair under 1700kg Vs a hair over 1700kg.
I do agree that it doesn't feel as fast as the stats suggest. I previously had a BMW 340i with the m performance power and sound kit, 360bph, and I don't think...
Over a grand to fix that is absolutely mental. I would have expected 350 quid or so. A proper repair would be a blended basecoat and then clearing the whole panel. Bumper plus fender isn't too bad panel size wise. Or is that the rear, can't tell.
Sounds like a perfect set up to me... Wife has a big practical car and you have something special. What's the point in both of you having a sensible family car?

The switchfire is the most expensive midpipe option, steeda do an H or X pipe for a fair chunk less cash, rousch as well, and I haven't heard them all in person so can't compare, but it does sound really good.
The valved stock exhaust is really good, personally I wouldn't spend 2 grand putting a valved aftermarket catback on. I have recently put a borla switchfire midpipe in and it sounds fantastic, I can't imagine many would want more for a daily driver.
Anyone had aftermarket vinyl stripes fitted?
Was looking for recommendations on where to go (I'm midlands based) and an idea on pricing.
Was thinking something like this...
So i got the switchfire pipe installed on thursday...
Fitting proved a bit more tricky than expected, we took the whole system off as i was being ultra cautious not to damage the active exhaust harnesses. I reinforced the vulnerable drivers side one with heat reflective fibre reinforced tape...
Close maybe, but its either in contact or it isnt, haven't seen a single case as i said with a stock exhaust. Im getting an x pipe fitted next week and im definitely going to be extremely cautions regarding the harnesses, might wrap the exposed wires at the top in some gold heat reflective fibre...
Dealers get paid to do warranty work as well, so if its quiet they are more likely to take it on. Id say if u fit a midpipe and as a result the harness rubs against the body causing the fail there is no way ford should cover that, i havent heard of a single case of that happening online with a...
Doesnt look like there is much play in those wires when installing the midpipe initially. Do you think its better to disconnect them before doing so to prevent potential damage?
