I agree. Better tires or at least put wider rims on the car. 255 and 275 rubber? Come on, Ford. I boycotted the PP this time around due to that. Why spend the extra dollars if the PP Mustang isn't quicker around a track than the Camaro 1LE? Why spend money for different springs and shocks if they're still marshmallows?

I'm pretty certain some of you guys are simply trying to stir the pot.

It's been well established that Ford's Performance Package is geared more for the street, for the driver that wants something a little better than a Base GT, but not unbearable to be a daily driver.

Someone has done us a favor a documented lots of laptimes from Randy Pobst at the Streets of Willow. Interesting that Chevrolet has never given a Camaro 2SS to Motor Trend for testing by Randy, the closest thing being the Chevy SS. Other than that, the Mustang and tire cheating Camaro 1LE are the cheapest cars in the Top 20, all others areat least $15k more expensive.

Tire cheating or not, Chevy deserves a lot of credit for assembling a great sub $50k track car.

Yep, the mustang would be lapped in only 21 laps. The new Z06 is in a completely different universe. Don't kid yourselves.

I drove one and it's not as impressive as the c6z06, it's probably the most overrated car with the viper ta being the most underrated which is a monster

Overrated? I think the new zo6 with a starting price of 78k, 650hp and super car handling is underrated. The car even looks like 3 times more than its value. Lets hope the new GT500 will be lighter on its toes with super car handling and have reasonable price tag.
