Will the GT350 go high 10's with a road racing suspension setup? Not likely.Running that RWHP are they really pulling that kind of MPH in the quarter? That seems like crazy MPH for that RWHP range.
You can go high 10's with about 420 rwhp with the right density altitude, light wheels, tires and suspension setup for drag racing, ultralite brakes and calipers, an Automatic transmission, and taking the car down to 3400lbs. A 3 speed or 4 speed manual setup for drag racing would work well too, maybe a Jericho clutchless manual, or a C4 auto with manual shift.
I watched a 2900 lb foxbody run 10's with 377 rwhp but it was a dedicated drag racing car and the fox bodies are very light anyways.
This car will have to pull some serious traction and there wouldn't be any room for errors to run 10's, your talking low 1.3-1.4 second 60' times and lots of RPM, and shifting past the red line to keep the car in the top end of the power band. We don't know the sweet spot or any engine data so it's all a guess.
For road racing you want the transmission geared differently than what you would have for drag racing. For drag racing that first 60' is almost everything in a race and then gearing the car to hit redline in the final gear at the 1320' mark is ideal, this reduces the number of shifts to the finish line.
On a road course it's all about what can you do with 3rd and 4th gear, and sometimes 2nd and 5th depending on cornering and track length.
I'm not an expert but the GT350 isn't for drag racing and not likely straight line street racing, the drag racing crowd would be better off with a used GT500, tune, pulley, and slicks, a few mods and then your running 9s.
