Greetings, been looking around for the past two weeks and finally decided to join.

I finally broke down and bought a new car.

My 15th Mustang.

Traded my 2006 GT for her, didn't get anything fancy, closest I could get to an LX.

Shadow Black
6 speed
No options
Base model.

Thusly beyond impressed. I've been watching the coyote for years, swearing I would never go beyond 2006 (tpms and all)

But all these gadgets and such are growing on me.

The only planned modifications are some window tint, a catch can merely to help with keeping the valves clean (direct injection and all), someday adding Roush axle backs and H pipe.

Past that I am looking forward to poking around, and learning more about these newer models, and hoping I got lucky about this ticking thing that seems to be a concern.

At 521 miles I haven't heard anything.

Again thanks for having me.

Congrats Leo on you new black beauty. There’s a lot to be said about keeping it simple. Enjoy the heck out of it.

Welcome to the modern era. Be prepared for your 5.0 to make your former 3V feel like a boat anchor!

I have a base model as well, love it. I can always upgrade to a touch screen later.

She's a beaut. Things have a way of evening out when the light turns green and you let the Coyote out... doesn't much matter how big the touch screen is or the material your seats are made of. It's just input from your feet transmitted to the ground via metal, fire, and rubber.

Congrats! That's a lot of car for the money the base models sell for.

But..., why BLACK?

On a car, BLACK isn't a color..., it's a part-time job! :like:

Well I chose black because all of my mustangs have been:
Foxes: Red, spray can black(racecar)
Sn95s: Silver, green
New Edges: Red, Silver
S197s: Legend Lime, Redfire, Silver.
So I wanted something different.

But agreed, it's a job. But since I'm not modding any time soon, it keeps me busy "working" on the car.

As for where they all go, life usually gets in the way. Or I finish a build, enjoy it for a while and someone makes an offer, I take it, boom I start over.

I had finished my 06 and was at Ford for some touch up paint.
It had 45k.

They made me an interesting offer....

I walked out at 24k

And to be fair, this base model put my premium to absolute shame.

Even with full bolt ons and cams.

As for the radio, I'm content just being able to plug my USB in and it plays my music.

No need for a new HU, or headlights, I don't feel the need for a shortthrow, I like the wheel gap.

I've heard sound clips, at most really just resonator and mufflers would be plenty loud. And still probably eclipse 400 to the tire with cats.

I'm a very happy camper.

Minus one thing.
I've grown to dislike the tiny spoiler a bit.

The only buyer's remorse I have so far is I am starting to wish I had just ordered from Ford and gone spoiler delete.

It's actually bugging me.

That said I wasn't in the market. So
