I'm just sick and tired of rules and regulations being imposed upon us. If I don't want to wear a seatbelt, then dang it, I'm not going to wear s seatbelt. That is my choice, it's called freedom. I am fully aware of the consequences of what may happen by my decisions and choices that I make. I don't need some bureaucrat that sits behind a desk 24/7 telling me what I can and can't do.

People have driven for how long without this?
Much less time than they lived without fire, which I'm still not comfortable with.

When you are thrown around in a vehicle in an accident because you refuse to wear a seat belt should be cause to cancel any health insurance policy you have and the refusal of payment by anyone else for your hospital expenses. You have just caused all of the rest of our insurance premiums to go up. I have to pay extra insurance premiums to help cover un-insured drivers. If your non-automatic collision automobile smashes into my rear end...your insurance may pay for the physical damages to me and my Mustang but it certainly does not pay for all of the time I will have to contribute to fight your insurance company, time to visit my doctor, your insurance will not pay for my lost wages while I'm in recovery. And please do not tell me that you are such a super-driver that it is impossible for you to ever rear-end someone else. If NASCAR drivers were such perfect drivers...no one would ever attend car races.
After having two idiots rear-end me while I was legally stopped at a
signal light...I would prefer as much 'automatic' braking as possible in the vehicles behind me.

Lol, it was just an example man, no need to go off the deep end. There are going to be Bad drivers no matter what idiotic rules and regulations that are forced upon us. Oh, and no one mentioned anything about being a "super-driver" so no need to put words into my mouth that I never said or would have said. As for insurance, your rates will go up no matter what, that's the nature of the beast. I for one will never buy a car with that crap in it just like I'd never buy an electric smart car or hybrid car. Anyway, we all have opinions and that's what makes this country great, at least for the time being anyway.

Oh, I too was rear ended at a red light because of the dumb juvenile behind me that was playing on her dang stupid phone instead of paying attention to her surroundings, " s::t happens" man.
