At this point, Any brand vehicle with that companies (Takata) units should be legally allowed to to remove them and still drive the vehicle without air bags till they can be replaced. And insurance companies not allowed to play games if the vehicle with a removed bag gets into a wreck .
Most owners of vehicles can't just park a vehicle and tell their boss sorry, can't come to work, no car.
These ticking time bombs are in a ton of other brands, not just Mother Mopar.
I would not be surprised If my 2005 jeep doesn't have the same part in it.
