Installing my headers today. I've got the two motor mount nuts off (holding the bracket to the mount on each side), but when I jack on the engine, it's lifting the whole front of the car up. It's like the bracket is stuck to the mount. I've tried jacking in several places (oil pan, bellhousing, even tried a long piece of wood on the bracket itself right next to the mount). The bracket and mount won't separate! How is that possible?

Has anyone else run into this? I'm stuck and valuable time is ticking!

Disregard! I knew it was going to be something dumb, and here we are.

I have the car up on cribs, so the suspension had to unload in front before the engine and body would separate. If the car is on a lift it will not be an issue. Idiot moment.

Onward!
