Need help on what this connector is

My taillight specifically the left is having problems with the sequential not working properly and I noticed that the bcm-b module has a white connector above that has nothing plugged into it and was wondering if this could be a problem

Different trim levels have different wiring and connections. Having an open connection, without a corresponding unconnected plug, likely has no bearing on the operation of your lights.
