I found this on the passenger seat floor just sitting on the carpet between the door and the seat frame. I have looked throughout the car, googled the part number and tried to find it on fordparts.com but I can not figure out where it is missing from. It is about 1.5" tall by 3/4" wide and it clearly covers something up.

Part Number appears to read:

FR3B-63046B96-A

Has anyone else found this part just sitting in their car? If so did you figure out where it went?

Perhaps FordService can track it down.

It lays flat on the floor. It covers the bolts to remove the seat. It is the front left or front right of the seat.

Thanks for the idea, but this cover is a little too small for that and all seat bolt covers are accounted for in my car. I've revised the original post with actual measurements (1.5 inch tall by 3/4 inch wide). I had just estimated before.

It's really strange that I cannot find out where it came from. It must be tucked up under the seat somewhere that my big head cannot reach to see.

Bogey928 - that is a cover for the sun visor post/arm. flip your sun visor down and take a look around the post/arm....that small cover should be installed on the headliner just forward of the post/arm.

Thank you! That's exactly where it was missing from and I never would have found that. I just popped it back into place.

Even FordService couldn't figure it out for me.

I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am, I thought this was going to be a mystery forever.

Does anyone know the part number of this specific part? My car is missing this piece behind the visor on the driver side.

I sure took notes for future reference. Thanks, guys!

Have you been able to address this with your dealer, bftx?

Hi Deysha, I found the part number and went ahead and ordered it. It is a $6 part, I figured I would go ahead and order it/install the part as it just snaps in place. This process is a lot faster than dealing with a service tech, and waiting on them to order it.
