Hello all! Recently purchased a '22 EB Premium Conv. Previous vehicles were a '97 Mustang and a 2011 Mustang Conv. Both previous models I upgraded the sound system, which was pretty straight forward. I need help with the '22.

I've done some reading and research here and while some has helped, I am still in need of assistance. Current set up is stock, 9 speakers no sub. Here is what I was looking to put in:

Focal RSE 165 Auditor Comp System for the doors.
Focal ACX 165 Auditor EVO for backseats
Focal TWU 1.5" Tweeter for Pillars
Kicker Key200.4
Kicker Key500.1
Kicker 50GOLD124 Sub(taken from my 2011 Stang).

I had Focals in my other Stangs and loved them. I used Kicker amps previously and loved them as well. No issues!

Questions...

Do I need to do anything with the center dash speaker? If I can get away with just disconnecting it, that would be best. Would I lose any of the notifications such as the camera sensors by removing this?

Would the above speakers fit where I plan? Need any modifications?

Could I also skip the pillars if I chose to and leave them stock?

I will not be doing the install myself due to back/spine surgeries. I just wouldnt be able to, sadly. Am I missing something that I need to adjust, consider or change?

Thank you so much for any and all help!

Pull the plug on the center speaker...it sum's the L/R, you won't lose anything.

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the 9-speaker system doesn't have a 3.5 mid like the B&O, which is the troublemaker for fitment. The door 6.5 and tweeters in the pillars are easy.

Could I also skip the pillars if I chose to and leave them stock?
I wouldn't...Stock tweeters are most likely wired in series with the door speakers so you would probably need to run wire to them. But again, not 100% sure on the 9-speaker setup. I would replace them with aftermarket.

There are a few options to consider...I'd run the PAC converter and wire harness. It goes between the head deck and factory amp and you run your RCAs from this. The wire harness allows you to use factory wiring vs running new wire. Next is DSP...not sure if it will integrate in the 9-speaker setup or not. Your installer should know all this and give you options.

The 9 speaker and B&O have the same speakers. Only difference is the rear are coax and the amp is different.

For 9 speaker no need for PAC just need iData HRN-AR-FO3 harness connected to whatever amp harness.

I used to run 200.4 amp until it broke down after two months. Took 12 weeks for warranty, during which time I installed Audison AP Bit 8.9 in the kick panel using the HRN harness. A massive step up. Plug and play.

I did run a power wire from battery to a fused splitter in passenger wheel well that also gave me trunk sub amp power.

OE speakers have various ohm spec... I believe tweets are 8 and rest are 4. Replace all front, and eliminate rear speakers.

Tweeter are wired with door 3.5 so best to use 8 channel DSP amp and run new wires to new tweeters. Disconnect center until you can redirect chimes to internal dash speaker with forscan and have 8 channel.

I do know the Hertz MP 163.3 bundle is plug and play with tweets press fitting, 3.5 door perfect fit, and door 6.5 perfect fit but need some cheap 3D printed adapters or cut (CAD file in the forum somewhere) plus any 1/2" foam seal. They are great and no hassles. No need for the incl cross overs. Can probably get a deal. Can also get 165.3 and separate 3.5.

I would avoid Kicker sub amp. If you have enclosed sub great otherwise buy OE enclosure from midway mustang or other recycler and see forum for speakers that are proven to fit.

You need a 400W @4 ohm at least so many are available I do like Audison and Kenwood for amazing instant tel support buy whatever can get a deal on. I use Kenwood XR 1000 just because I got it 40% off and has an internal fan.

Sound deadening is key Amazon has great stuff.

Hope this helps.

Did you have to modify the HRN-AR-FO3 harness at all. Do I have to add RCA connector to the harness? I want to get rid of the buggy DSR1.
