Just purchased a Whipple charger for my 2019 Bullitt. Long tubes, lowering springs, many other goodies.
After reading about the MT82 transmission I'm worried about overloading.
Before I turn the Bullitt in after two months, just curious if anyone has had issues with their tranny?
I love the car/look, but if it won't take the power then I have no choice. A T56 can't be swapped either. Thanks

The twice updated D4 trannies (big redesign in 2018, and again in 2019 with beefier forks) are reportedly quite robust... but for stock power. Since you're adding quite a bit more, you should expect issues sooner or later. Your weakest link is probably the clutch, not the tranny. But some basic tranny upgrades would go a long way. Calimer would upgrade it all around, but he wasn't working on D4s yet not long ago, but you could call him. What I don't know is if it's worth doing anything now, or until something craps out, then with the tranny out, do everything at once, to save in labor. Hopefully an expert can give you detailed advise; I'm just relaying what I've read while one of those guys with actual experience can chime in :). Good luck.

Steeda seem to have supercharged the SM edition Bullitt with no issues and there are plenty of S C mustangs down under and the specialist Mustang tuning houses don’t seem to have issues with them either. My neighbour has a supercharged Bullitt that he drives pretty hard and no issues to date.

Thanks Fellas.
Tuning being done by Palm Beach Dyno. Work being done by Paramount in TX.
Debate continues...trade the Bullitt in for a 10 speed GT or roll the dice and replace trans if it takes a dump. Likely the latter.
