I think someone here has a number on 2019 production of the GT350? I am just curious.

Here are my numbers on the older cars:
2015 GT350: 137 (very rare).
2016 GT350: 6169
2017 GT350: 7145
2018 GT350: 4378

I own #K1868 which is an early one.

I think your 2017 GT350 build number is off, Iā€™m pretty sure they didnā€™t make 71,145 LOL.

**First, I apologize on my first post for screwing up the 2017 number.**

My bad and thank you.

I think adding the 2019 and 2020 number will be 22,000-25,000 over 6 years? That is 35 times the production of the F-150 truck in one year.

I thank Ford for producing these cars (I am sure that they made no money on them). Ford has also been great on producing real fast cars (check Le Mans Victories).

Production numbers and breakdowns for prior years are in the GT350 Basics sticky..

One of you ā€˜19 owners needs to get this package (that has the numbers and breakdowns) then post it like in years past. A VIN is required.

http://www.fordshowparts.com/store_...00602&store_id=1&dept_id=1163&product_id=7223

From the website;

Description: Original Certificates for 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Shelby Mustang GT350 and GT350R include production date, production number, and location produced. Also included with the certificate is a complete production breakdown for the model year and VIN decoder sheet. You MUST enter your VIN (vehicle identification number) in the space provided to buy the certificate

For ā€˜19, donā€™t forget about the additional ~799 Rā€™s also... unless youā€™re just referring to regular GT350ā€™s.

To your point I would suggest counting on ~3600 cars for the 2019 MY (which of course would include any PP cars) and for various reasons including the very slow launch of the 2020 GT500 I would expect less production numbers for the 2020 MY.

Agreed as they build 50,000 + F series trucks a month.
They are the #1 truck sales leader for 43 years in a row. Has anyone priced a new loaded F-series truck? It makes a Mustang seem cheap. They also move a bunch of SUV's. The new Bronco will sale well, IMO.

I'd be surprised if they make money on the Shelby GT350/500. It gets people in the salesroom.

Thanks,
I was just curious on production by year. Just plain curiosity and nothing else.

I also have a GT500 ordered (maybe delivered in late 2011). I'll be curious on that.

I have production numbers on most various Mustangs back to 1965 (there was really no 1964 1/2). It's a hobby.

My understanding is Ford does not publish till typically April of the following year so 2019 numbers not published yet. Based on another thread here it would appear we should expect 2019 numbers to be roughly ~3K for GT350 and ~800 for GT350R.

The current Mustang has lower production numbers.

I remember when the Terminator, aka, the 2003 Cobra sold 13,476 cars with the 2004 Cobra at 5664 cars. The 2006 Mustang 4.6L did 166,530 cars (a modern record). The last 1995 Mustang with a 5.0L Windsor sold 165,037 cars.

The Camaro (still a slow car) actually gave up and discontinued the GM Camaro from 2003-2009. The new ones are rather ugly and slow..

Just saying.

If you go to the link that Tank provided you'll see that 2019 isn't in the drop down menu yet.

I called FP a few months back when I found fordshowparts and they said probably April before they were done crunching the factory numbers.

If you are just looking at overall Mustang production numbers for any given year I get all that but when you get into the limited edition high performance Mustang production numbers then of course the total production numbers drop significantly except for the odd year.

For example when the 2007 GT500 launched as a limited production car back in 2006/2007 the FRAP actually produced 10,847 cars that year and then just 2 years later in 2009 that same plant only produced 3,359 cars which is a dramatic decrease.

The 2009 MY was the lowest production model year for the 8 year run of the GT500's back in the day.

Another example of limited production Mustangs is the 2012/2013 Boss 302 cars with the FRAP only producing 4,077 cars for the 2012 MY and 4,318 cars for the 2013 MY and those numbers includes the 1,552 Laguna Seca models as well.

I agree. I was just posting a few numbers from a folder that I started years ago. Thanks for adding to it with the numbers on the modern 2012/2013 Boss 302 cars. I tried to buy a Laguna Seca but couldn't get the deal done. Also, do you remember the original MSRP?

Here is the MSRP sticker from the first Mustang that I ordered 30 years ago (1989 Mustang 5.0 LX and kept the A/C).
