Nothing special. 4500 rpm 2-step clutch dumps got me a 1.493 60' and a burnt up RST twin disk. Lol

I have to have a full 8.5 cert cage to go sub 10.00 or faster than 135mph. So I just tested launching then rowing through 3rd. Still managed a 10.653 @ 117.84. Slipping clutch and all.

Since the clutch was going out I didn't do WOT shifting. I tried once and horribly missed the 1-2 shift. :( looked "like that guy" haha

Sorry to hear about your clutch but thanks for the update .
Awesome 60!

Are you going to upgrade to an RXT ?
What rear end ?
Does the TR6060 have a 2.97 or 2.66 first ?
Tire size and would you need to go into 4th if you ran 140 mph + out the back half ?
you would have to pick up 33 mph
What pulley/Fuel ?

Sorry for all the questions .lol
I am about to do a Magnum swap and my KB/20% lower should make similar power to yours if you run the 3.5/E85 .(going to make a few more passes with the MT 82 first to see if I can get that 9 second slip).

My magnum is a 2.66 and I am going to see how it does with the 3.31 rear end I have now and 28 inch Slicks .
If it traps below 145 I should be able to stay in third .
@145 it will turning 7500-7600

Just wanted to comment that I've had my n2mb wot box on now for a few months and have everything on auto and I'm using the lund rev limiter and ffs through the wot box. I also wired up the shift light with a serial cable as well. Any way I've had no check engine light or knock at all. Even when using 2 step. I have some vids on my Instagram scott_wilsons_5.0
How'd you do the wiring for the shift light? The instructions didn't make a lot of sense to me.

Are you going to upgrade to an RXT ? Not sure yet, started a thread about it to get others opinions.
What rear end ? 3.73
Does the TR6060 have a 2.97 or 2.66 first ?the shorter of the two.
Tire size and would you need to go into 4th if you ran 140 mph + out the back half ?Im on 28-10. oh yea, 3rd tops @ 122ish i'm there a good bit before the 1/4. When I was getting the 8+ degrees of positive knock, no 2-step launch with a 2.0 60' managed a 10.9 @133. so pretty sure im 9 capable with enough time behind the wheel.
What pulley/Fuel ? C85 3.0, logs showed max psi of 15.2 cus of the clutch. should have been around 17.5ish

I would love to do 145 in third, lol.

Thanks man!!
I am sure you will get that 9 second slip ....if you want it .

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer all my questions .I had assumed you were running an OD with the 10 rib but I can see it's a stock size with the boost you are making with the 3 inch .
My 4 inch upper with the OD should have made about 15 psi (I saw closer to 18 peak on the dyno ) .I think the dyno numbers of mid 800's STD were generous as it only trapped 137 when I ran it the only time last year .ET was 10.6 and 60 was not too bad @1.6 on heavy 18 inch wheels/drag radials .Hoping for better with 17 inch race stars /28 inch Hoosier slicks/no lift shifts .....and more boost !
I am also going to Baer drag brake set up front and rear so will shed close to 100lbs of unsprung weight .I will then run 15's front /back for even more weight saving and more side wall with 15 inch slicks (may try 27 inch QTP's or 26.5 MT slicks for more gearing). I will also be able to drive to the track with 15 inch Bias ply ET R's-I hatched this plan before MT recently came out the the 17 inch Bias ply ET R's.

The 3.5 pulley I have now should be making 20 psi but again it peaks higher on the dyno .
Hoping that is enough to get me 140+ traps and a 9 second slip .
Going to give the MT 82 a shot at it before I swap the tranny .

New tranny will be going in with new motor sleeved to 5.2.Debating doing cams to go with the GT 350 heads on the car now .

Should be able to stay in 3rd with magnum and my current 3.31 rear end but installer is afraid I will fry the clutch launching at high rpm .

Yes sir! I'm pretty sure the power is there, just need to learn the car. We have similar end goals. Would you mind pm-ing me your engine builder? im looking for one.

A guy at the track was nice enough to share this video with me. This is a 4500 launch with a very hurt clutch.

No sir. Not during this outing. I tried it first pass and terribly missed the 1-2 shift. Thought my settings were wrong so I didn't do any more. Didn't think anything of it until my clutch started slipping later in the night.

Gotcha .
I did not think so from the video .
Does not sound like you were on the 2 step either that pass.

Oh yea I was. Lol @4500. I don't floor it until the lights start counting down. Only on it for a second or two.
