I just say "ok Google, close my trunk" into my phone then bam, it closes by itself. Android is getting better and better! :first:

I just use the bottom of my tshirt in my hand and the bottom lip of the lid, works great. Or I use my hand on the bottom edge, then use my shirt to wipe it off right away! Lol drives me nuts too
This is the method I subscribe too as well. Hell, I close the doors using my shirt a lot of times if the car is pretty clean.

Honestly, I'm tempted to get a spare blank decklid and get it painted matte black or something else that won't show every speck of dust and fingerprint.

Just push the open button twice within 5 seconds and it will close automatically.

I just grab the bottom lip with my thumb, bring it down, and close it either with my fist or elbow on the spoiler.

I wouldn't suggest grabbing it by the emblem if I were you. After many "uses", it might start loosening.

is this for real?
Nope ... but it would have been nice if Ford would have put a self closing latch in this car so you could just push the trunk lid down and the latch would suck it down tight.

Y'know we really are pretty insane if we're that concerned about fingerprints(!) on our cars...

That said, I usually use my forearm on the edge of the spoiler. :help:

I cut two small slits in the grey lid liner and threaded a black zip tie thru to make a loop that sticks out. I should have done it on the right side of the latch, as I often pause wondering which hand to pull it down with! :headbonk:

But since the zip tie broke last week, I've been using the Pony. I'll replace the broken one AND add one on the right side. ;) On Rev. 1, I did need to use two zip ties together to a big enough loop.
