Just to confirm, the seat inserts are the red in this one. right?( Not as dark as the saddle brown that my buddy just got. )
Yes this is the "redline" interior option on the standard seats. thought about doing recaros until i realized that they took out the heated and air conditioning on them so i decided to just go with the regular ones to get those features!

Wow Joe, congrats on your purchase!

I saw that interior and my jaw dropped, absolutely gorgeous!

What are your plans for her? I know she's not staying stock for long ;)

Let me know if you ever need anything, I'm here to help!

Thanks for the love! i am obsessed with the interior as well. seems to be a big hit amongst my friends and family. everyone loves it so far!

as far as mods go, i will definitely be getting my windows tinted, most likely 20% all around, within the next 2 weeks. also installing 2 12" kicker comp R subwoofers with a 1500 watt amp. BOOM!!

as far as engine modifications go I'm a little nervous about voiding my warranties i received through the dealer. do you know which mods will void it? my next things on the list would be a JLT cold air intake and some lowering springs. also with the intake, it says id need a tune? how much would that cost on top of the intake itself and would that void a warranty?

thanks

Intake and tune won't necessarily automatically void the warranty. But if you have a problem and they deem that the modifications had something to do with your car messing up, then the cost is your burden. For that reason my mod list is catback exhaust, short shifter, dash cam, tint, and subframe bushings until my warranty is gone.

GTPP with redline is an option I expected to see a lot more of but am happy it turned out to be quite exclusive. Enjoy your ride it is beautiful. So far as engine mods if you are hesitant about the intake you can just update the panel filter to a K&N performance filter for pretty cheap to start. No tune required and it just helps with that initial throttle burst off the line with feeding air to the engine. The stock setup doesn't have high temps at all only 3 or 4 degrees above outside air which is all the better anyone is getting with full intakes.

I highly recommend a cat back exhaust as well. That engine needs to be heard and if your neighbors are like mine they will appreciate it too (no joke)

Hey Joe,

I can see why it would be a hit, it looks awesome!

In regards to the warranties, there is nothing specific that will void it as it is really up the the discretion of the dealership and Ford.

At the end of the day, Ford must prove that the mod that you installed, is what caused the issue that you are bringing the car in for.

For example, they cannot blame a brake squeal on an intake and tune, but if you come in with a MAF issue or something like that, they might try to.

Personally, I have never not modded my car in order to keep a warranty and have never had a problem getting warranty work done. It really all depends on your local dealer.

I would recommend talking to them, and then start modding your new beast!

Let me know how I can help, I'm just a post or PM away.

-Will

parker,

im interested to hear more about the K&N performance filter. how would i install one of these? is it a whole new kit or just a filter that i replace in the stock air box?

The KN airfilter was proven in testing to perform worse than the stock air filter. It is more for people who want a lifetime reusable filter.

This was for the 2011+ S197 5.0, but I'm sure it is the same for the S550

Congrats, she's a beauty! That was high on my list of color combos but I ended up going with Ruby and Ceramic...sorta the opposite of your car. :)
