So I just bought Corsa Headers to go with my Corsa Sport exhaust on my 2016 GT. I love the sound quality! It is loud and aggressive!!.....All the time......and my neighbors are starting to hate me when I start my car up in the morning .....Does anyone know the most affordable or best way to turn my Corsa Sport exhaust into an Active Exhaust? Or anything that helps reduce the cold start sound.

Haha, my neighbors hate me with just my Corsa Sport...I can only imagine with headers!

I've heard a tune can mellow down the stock mustangs startup...but with headers you've got your work cut-out for you.

Well, if you get the new '18 active touring axleback, Roush valence the Ford OE valve control motors, a simple switch from a cutout kit, and are handy with wiring, you could make one. Otherwise, a tune can be used to mellow out the cold start considerably. Driving though? Keep it under 1500 rpm and as light throttle as possible and you will be alright. I did that with the Xtreme catback and it didn't disturb anyone even later at night.

I do get a chuckle every time one of these pops up though, as if it's not know that going with LTs, especially catless ones, doesn't add a ton of volume and aggressiveness. Hope this helps. DD cars with full exhaust . You either have to not give a crap about your neighbors, which makes you an asshole, or keep stock headers on if you do care. Clearly you do care, so not asshole, but if it were me I'd go back to just the catback.

The most affordable way to quiet down the car in a neighborhood is your right foot off the gas.

The second most affordable way is to take off the headers and sell them.

OP do not listen to this...just change your mid pipe and you’ll be fine.

Driving it is no problem! The biggest thing that I can’t control is the cold start. I knew going into it that it was going to be loud, but I was just wondering if there was a way to maintain the cold start.

If you get a tune you can have them make the cold start quieter (much).

Absolutely OP, most tuners can disable the high idle cold start. Just request it with them.

Just blip the throttle as soon as it settles at higher cold start RPM.

I see in your sig that you have a Livernois tune. So did Livernois tune out the cold start rev for you? I thought they told me they couldn't do that.

I don't have it right now but I have had a tune revision from them with it tuned out. It still has a brief high-idle bark for about 1.5 seconds but then settles down to basically warm-idle. I used that when I had the Xtreme catback on my car (for the sake of my neighbors).

I got the stink eye awhile back when my neighbor asked why my car was so loud, I responded with, Is that your dog that barks all day because you forgot about him being outside when you left!

How much of a difference did the cold start tune make? I'm moving and had Livernois send me that tune in case my new neighbors don't appreciate my exhaust like I do.

Use a resonator x-pipe or mini bullet mufflers. That will keep the power but reduce the noise and any upper rpm rasp.
