If Ford revoked the LE allocation from the dealer, then how can you blame the dealer?

I'm upset for this guy, he was a great contributor and this sucks.

I will break the wrist, and walk away...:kickrock:

He shouldn't get jack squat. And I hope Ford has the balls to tell him as much. You dont get to violate copyright law because you're a supposed nutty enthusiast. And this guy was the nuttiest. He should get NOTHING and like it. Hes lucky hes not being sued.

I find it interesting that it's obvious that the majority of the 'leaks' were authorized but a simple marketing brochure is top secret. Hey Ford I read it, why wouldn't you turn that into a tv spot? It's just marketing material anyway, skip using the dealer as a messenger, go direct like you did with every leaked document.

Anyone message Trish yet? Maybe she could help. Surely she could find out cancelled orders and what was going on...

I also don't understand how a customer (1) gets a hold of that material and (2) is the one that get screwed because the dealer let him see it. Sounds like all the dealers fault and maybe the dealer got a call and talked to about that material and in turn they called chief and payed forward the chewing they received by canceling his car. Sounds like a terrible freakin dealer...glad I don't have to go thete

Unless the dealer told him not to share the information, I don't think what they did is fair. It's unfortunate that they apparently ended up getting in trouble for doing something nice for a customer, but regardless it sounds like it was ultimately their mistake and they have only themselves to blame.

I saw the booklet, and I don't see what all the hubbub is about anyway. I didn't see anything in it that I would consider particularly sensitive information.

The way this post was originally worded I would guess dollars to doughnuts he pocketed it when they were ordering his Mustang. The dealer wouldnt give him their dealer guide. This guy aint no saint. Why do you think he agreed to drop his order? They threatened to sue him which they should.

makes me wonder, what they (:ford:) gotta hide:shrug:

remember all the Drama about the data (horsepower figures etc...)
remember all the vids about all the aerodynamics on the s550 (no figures, just talk up to now)

maybe we should ask the NSA to provide full info, they surely know all the details:D
