Ok chaps I've found a video which is about as close to the sound my car making I've come across, only problem is I can't work out how to load it on here, if any of you are interested and are on Facebook I've put the video on there for you to hear, it's open to the public so anyone can see it, you'll find me by putting in my email which is [email protected], you don't have to be a friend of mine to hear it, if you can't see it I may have messed it up so please let me know, my car is back and to be honest i'm just not happy with them saying it's normal but I'll just have to see what happens.
Pleased to hear you have the car back, shame it's not back fixed but at least we can now get somethings done with it, good news is your video works, can here the noise presume it's the grinding sort of sound?

Now all we need is someone who is local to pop round and hear it in person or take it to a specialist to listen to

Look on the bright side at least things can get moving now and it can be fixed

That's good twiggy. Ford are clearly washing their hands of it, which is probably a good thing.

If I was in your shoes I would go to a specialist at the very least to assess it and see what they say. Modurstang would be my recommendation, havent had any work done there myself but they have a great reputation and not too far for you - Oxfordshire.

If they do find something, then you can rub it in Fords face and get them to pay up. Knowing how long they had it and found nothing, I think they would be embarrassed to know that someone else found an issue and sorted it.

Twiggy.
Get up tomorrow morning with a different mind set.
You have your car.
Ford have said they think nothing is wrong with it.
I think even you have your doubts.

Get out Saturday and DRIVE it. Enjoy it.
Get out Sunday and DRIVE it.
Get out MONDAY and drive it.

Put it out of your mind that there is a problem. Come and meet up with some of us and let us listen. I hope to get to GT101 on Monday.

Worse case scenario is something breaks and then there will be something for Ford to fix.

Thanks guys, I did mention that they had to do at least 10 miles to warm the car up before they'd hear the sound start, when I dropped it off 2+ weeks ago it had 78 miles on the clock, picked it up yesterday with 84 miles on the clock, this might explain why they think it's normal, and they went out on 2 different days to test it.

The video on Facebook isn't the best, the sound mine makes is louder and a more higher pitch.

Ola hombres.

Twiggy, you've got more solutions here than a cocktail bar. Centurion07, stevec, Kristian87 with his Modurstang tip - soooooo many options.

No disrespect intended, but the only obstacle now is yourself. Not Ford UK. Not your dealer. Not the car. You have the controls fella. If you want to solve it, take stevec's advice and make sure you hook up with one or all of these folks who I'll bet money can help turn this into a positive position.

I'm way up north so no use to you (actually geography isn't relevant but I need some excuse just to make myself feel good) but I'd jump at the chance to meet these folks in person - in fact, if you do, a full review is expected

Let's get this done.

Have to agree.
I would take it to Modurstang. Pay for a few hours of their time to do a proper diagnostics on it and put an end to it all. At least they can give you a full detailed report on their findings and then you can take it higher with ford to get it resolved if there is an issue. You may even be able to claim the money back you paid to diagnose.

Explain to them exactly what you have been going through so they can give you as much ammo as possible.

Why not take the car up at the same time for them to hear it

My OCD is very controlling, I really wanted to get the underseal and clear wrap done before doing to many miles, i'm hoping someone on here might come and hear it tomorrow and plus someone at work who use to be a tech from Ford, atleast If they say it doesn't sound right then i'll be straight back to Ford, I know it's not right but i'd rather hear it from someone else who understands cars better than me, funny story but last night I booked my train I was driving for having a grinding sound coming from the aux drive shaft.....seem to have habit of finding funny sounds!!!

Well'what did he think?
Well the main thing is he heard it, after awhile you start to think you're hearing things, one things for sure his didn't do it so it's not normal as in every single Mustang does it, maybe i'll leave him to give his thoughts but I must add that exhaust on his car is the dogs dangles.....insane.....loved it!!!
