I just give up with it if i'm honest, it's starting to ware me out all this, I can't tell you how much I want this car back but for some reason I don't think this is going to happen anytime soon, the car in it's current condition is no good to me and I won't be taking it back if they say it's normal, Ford or who ever need to stop this comparing cars rubbish and start ripping things like the gearbox and clutch out to get to the root cause or give me my money back or order another car in, it's gone on to long now and i'm not prepared to keep on going like this for weeks on end. I hate saying this as i'm sure Ford HQ read these forums and the last thing I want is for people to think Mustangs are rubbish cars which isn't the case it just seems I've picked the problem child, sorry but I'm just so fed up with it all, my Mustang dream is now turning into my Mustang nightmare and it wasn't how I planned things.

I can't be arsed to go back through the whole thread twiggy and I know they wanted another car to compare yours too but...did anyone actually drive yours before they said that?

Hang in there mate, I know it's a sh1t place to be but it WILL get sorted. You have done the right thing getting it back to the dealership. Keep hassling them, make phone calls, go above their heads if you have to, you will get there - summer is just around the corner & I have no doubts that you will be in it for that.
I doubt very much that your problem warrants sending the car back, just needs a little attention somewhere, some tightening up, perhaps a new part. Be relentless, get it sorted, make threats if you have to and when it's all done, seek some sort of compensation for all the time & effort you had to put in to this - maybe some free servicing? As we have all said, it will be worth it.

Surely if he heard the sound then he heard the sound? They don't need to compare another car.

Oh I've no doubt I read it at the time, just couldn't be arsed to trawl the entire thread for one comment that MAY have been mentioned or not.
The area tech guy heard the sound the other day aswell, I wanted to speak to him re his findings but I was told I couldn't.

Look Twiggy, go and get it and get down to a meet somewhere this weekend. Maybe get over to GT101 on Monday, I may go myself. Take some others out in it. Worse case is it breaks down and you have to get recovered. That would be a shite BH Monday but at least Ford will have something they know needs fixing!

1. Did he agree there was a sound there? Not whether it was normal or not, just was there an identifiable noise?
2. Speaking to the area tech directly may have been an issue, but the second he got out of "the other" car, he would've known if there was an issue with yours or not, and THAT information should've been forthcoming. There's no reason for them not to tell you that as it's the only piece of information they were waiting for i.e. there's an abnormal noise that needs investigating or there isn't and here's your car back.
Get on the phone and ask to speak the service manager, failing that, the dealer principle. They've carried out the investigation they said they needed, so they should have a plan of action now regarding your car.

Gowrings said he heard the noise, i'm just waiting for them to say whether the one he checked yesterday made the same noise, maybe he has to do a report and they still haven't got the info yet, hopefully when I get home during the small hours they'll have left a message, failing that i'll call tomorrow.

Ok chaps I've found a video which is about as close to the sound my car making I've come across, only problem is I can't work out how to load it on here, if any of you are interested and are on Facebook I've put the video on there for you to hear, it's open to the public so anyone can see it, you'll find me by putting in my email which is [email protected], you don't have to be a friend of mine to hear it, if you can't see it I may have messed it up so please let me know, my car is back and to be honest i'm just not happy with them saying it's normal but I'll just have to see what happens.
