Got around to installing this morning. I used VHT night shades to paint translucent red. I did a good job on the hazard switch, but not on the other two. I need more coats on the backside of the toggles. I also want to sand them down so they are smooth, so i will be pulling them in the future to finish them up. Pulling the dash is a PITA!!! I broke some tabs. Also, there are two 10mm nuts and 8mm screws in the center console that were missed. I am waiting for the start button cover, I will be painting it as well.
Looks good!!! The entire console did not have to come out though! There is a top trim piece that holds the cup holders and is held in by blue clips! The four 7mm bolts up front are the only bolts that need to be removed. After that you start in the center console area and pull up on the top trim piece. The clips will slowly release and the top part of the console comes off leaving the underlying frame work still installed.

How are the switches? Good movement? Good toggle feel?

yeah, feels good, they engage the hazard/traction/steering switches no problem. I didn't need to use electrical tape either.

Thats great! That is exactly why I designed it to use electrical tape if needed. I can't account for other vehicles and tolerance differences. So designing a bit of room in the toggle base allows easy install.

Start here. Use a flathead to get in between that panel line and pull up. Do this on either side and the clips will start to release as you move forward.

Also, I highly suggest you sand your transparent buttons down about .5mm. Since you were the first to order you received the longer buttons. They will work as is but better toggle feel will be achieved by sanding them.

Dangit, that video would have made my install easier!
Same here, I didnt realize that the shell comes off like that. Luckily the tray is made out of softer plastic so I just applied some brute force and yanked it out of there. Left some scrapes and dings on the trays edges but its not visible when installed anyways so no biggie.

It could certainly be done that way as well! I actually did it this way when I first disassembled my dash. I modified the tray to remove the lip and guide posts. That way every time I need to take apart the dash I no longer have to fight to get the tray out.
