It might not be until Spring, but I bet, with the right treatment, those aluminum toggles would go great with my new brushed aluminum dash! Thanks again Zack!

Hey Zack,

What would be the best way to paint within the engraved symbols?
Do you recommend anything? Or has anyone else who has bought these done that?

I was thinking about either using a silver reflective fine marker and filling in the symbols. Either that or a red reflective marker.

The marker should work out well! Keep in mind that the material is porous so it might take a few passes to have a uniform finish.

Would any permanent marker work?
Also, do I still need to tape around the back piece or was that addressed in the new revisions.

I would suggest a craft paint marker for a more permanent solution. And revision 2 addresses the small gap found in the base. Revision 2 should not require tape around the base.

You were one of the first to purchase revision 2 so you should be all set!

Also, if I wanted to paint it more black could I just any spray paint? And any recommendation on something to give it a nice finish?

You can certainly paint it. I would suggest spraying on a heavy coat and let it dry. This is basically sealing the surface of the part. Once dry a very light sanding can be done to achieve a more smooth finish. Spray a final coat on and you should be all set.

Any black spray paint is good? Could I do them silver? (I got the black printed ones)

I suggest using krylon products as it will stick very well to the nylon material that the toggles are made of. If you want to do silver then you will have to lay down a base coat of white or grey first and then your final coat can be the silver.
