Nice steve. Who would have thought a pile of metal could bring that much joy and pleasure ay?! I echo your sentiment though, its a real passionate experience living with one of these things day to day. #Mustanglife is good :)

Yeah, great write up and story, Mustang life has put the pleasure back into driving for me as well, looking forward to McMustang 2 and the NC500.

The Mustang just cut the mustard! I honestly don't think I would have been any happier with anything else, nothing out there floats my boat. I can certainly back you up on the positive comment side, everyone stares at Priscilla, neighbours send there dads round to ask if their sons can come round and look at it, where I work, there's a mixture of out and out wowness from colleagues and a fair bit of envy. I work in the rail industry and one off my works car parks is on a busy mainline platform, that is a real sense of occasion when I drive on there to park, literally thousands of photographs of my car are taken by complete strangers. I don't do Twitter/Facebook so can't tell really what impact there is there.

Agree with you that this car drags you out to just go for a drive, fuel consumption? Pah!!

I owned and drove an RX8 through the ÂŁ1.40/50 per litre era and drove it all over Europe, the Mustang is, believe it or not, better on fuel than my 1.3 Wankle powered little 8 was.

Keep up the great reviews Steve

Looking forward to seeing you all in July :headbang:

Talking of proms. Steve....

I've got 2 to deliver to....:)

1st day of ownership, my valleting chap, asked if I'd take his lad..... I'm getting a free vallet for that one:)

And the neighbour over the road, asked if I'd take her lad (different prom)... She's pretty fit and drives a Boxter:D

She was quite put out when she suggested to her lad that she could take him, and he said he'd much rather go in the mustang..:lol:

It goes on and on. At first I struggled a bit with it I must admit. Seeing my car appear on twitter and facebook pages. I felt like everywhere I went I was being watched and I had to make sure I don’t do anything wrong or silly but everything I have seen has been so positive. I have never seen a negative post.
When people ask if they can look at my car (1926 Tudor Model T hot rod), I tell them, "If I didn't want people looking at my car, I'd drive a Lumina."

Cuz Boxters are sh1te.

Brilliant write up Steve! I'm nearly at my 1k! I'll be taking my nieces to their prom in June I believe, neighbour with the M4 keeps telling me how his kids prefer my Mustang to his M4 . Get in the car and see his eldest just oogling at the car as I'm getting in, it's a great feeling.

Glad you're loving the car, and continuing to mod ;)! Can't wait to see the next one... I think I have an idea of what it might be (#ByeByeHoodStripe?)

Hey Steve, do you have any front splash guard's/mud flaps? If not, are you seeing any paint damage around the rear haunches/wheels from sh*t thrown up by the fronts with the 25mm spacers?

Shucks, thanks for all the lovely comments guys.

Mudflaps,
Looking out for some I like, maybe even thinking of making my own (or having them made). Yes, dirt and stones do get thrown up and I am constantly washing my skirts but with me new house, the car is about 1m from my door and hose so I dont care.
Where I need them the most however is the front of the rear wheel arches as dirt gets thrown on to my lovely skirts!

Manders,
The stripes are staying. Although they may be modified at some time in the future.

That car is awesome. Just the sort of thing I would like for my 'second' car. I am actually working on getting her a 57 Chevy pick up or Ford F100 atm. She seems keen!

Great write up, as someone who has very "nearly" got theirs it made my day reading that and has made me even more impatient, so thank you very much!

The one underlying thing I have picked up on is the willingness of fellow Mustang owners helping each other out, whether it's advice, a ride in their car, how to install stuff etc. MrWolf who I have never meet but lives not far from my office has offered to help me fit my Cat Back using the pit at his house! Just flipping excellent stuff. I have meet a guy in the US over this forum who is sending me sh1t loads of stuff for my car.

Anyway, your car looks sweet and deserves the attention it's getting

Great write up matey!!! Hope I get to feel like this soon about mine, it came home today, to be honest I'm not sure I really wanted it back as I can't be bothered with all the problems and stress anymore, you could tell she'd been dumped at the back of the dealer parking lot (very American) for over 2 weeks as it was covered in dust and bird crap and a few leaves, didn't have time to clean it off so at the moment it's just hidden away in my garage till I work out the next move. I think i'd forgotten how bad the sound was as I was willing to accept it may have been normal, no way is it normal, if so Ford dealers would be crammed full of cars making odd sounds. Anyway....make sure you look the part when you take this lucky young lady out.
