I put a picture up on Facebook with the number plate obscured but your car is so well known now that it was recognised anyway....

Glad the exhaust is what you wanted.
I'll never understand the obscuring number plate thing..... not like it's on show everywhere you go is it for everyone to see :)

Ah yeh, one of the nicest pics I have seen of it. Actually looks orange.
Will look even better once I get the splitter back on.

Strange you should say that because I have not posted any pics of it lowered! I only got it done yesterday.

Thanks for the comment though!

GT101 uploaded this image yesterday, assuming it is your car, I cannot think of any other with gloss black aero and RTR kit. :)

Looks spot on! :)

Yeh, its mine! Obviously.

Honestly, it was like picking my car up all over again yesterday. I was grinning like a Cheshire cat when I accelerated on to the A12!!

I will post more pics, video and a write up over the weekend.

Glad you like the axel back, think you're one of very few that've bought an axel back rather than a full exhaust kit!!

I've been contemplating doing an Axel-back on mine, rather than the full kit, as personally, a full kit is a bit on the pricey side (850-1k)

Car looks great on the pic above, pointless obscuring a number plate on a car that is practically one off ;)!

Can't wait for the review buddy!

Just make sure your going to be happy with just an axel back. On my last car I went through 3 different exhaust setups and it would have cost the same in the end to have had one of the best quality exhausts fitted from the start. Haven't heard any axel backs on the 4 pit so not sure how much of a difference it makes. Think there is quite a big difference on the V8 between stock and axel back.

That's my issue, can't seem to hear many axel back exhaust systems, redoing the whole system seems a bit pricey, and I'd just get one and stick with it. But just changing the back box, makes me feel like I've got a fart box on lmao. Oh lord the issues with exhausts. Anyway, this is Steve's thread... so back to his lil beast ;)

I have to say I am stunned with how good the axle back sounds. I have to admit, part of the decision to go with axle back was price. I have spent around 4k on mods now so wanted to do exhaust as cheap as possible.

This has given me exactly what I wanted and more.

As far as the number plate thing goes. I just think its courtesy to do this when posting a pic of someone else car isnt it?

I just ordered the same suspension set up as you from GT101 yesterday, so it is great to see it done on a car

Well, I have had The Beast five months today!
Five Months! Thats crazy. I think it been the best month so far as well. So many highlights.
Silverstone
Line Lock
MPSS tyres
Front Splitter Fitted
Roush Axle Backs
Lowered
Wheel Spacers
And, wait for it. I have taken some pics that make the car look orange.

So anyway. One day I am going to say that I am used to owning a Mustang now. That I had a trip to the shops and back and didnt even really consider I was in a Mustang or that I am used to the look and the attention it gets and I dont love talking about it, maybe I will say that I dont glance back anymore eveytime I park it someone.

Well, not today. Not yet. In fact, I think I can say I love this car more now than I did last month. And boy, having dry warmer road to drive on has been flippin awesome. In fact, I may not be able to finish this post before I have to 'don the shades' and go for a drive.

So any way. Here goes.

Fuel Consumption
Yes, she consumes fuel. How much? As much as she needs and when she wants more, I fill her up. Its an agreement we have. She gives me lots of driving pleasure and I fill her with fuel.Simples.

MPSS Tyres
I do hours and hours of research on everything I do. If you look at my internet history you will see search after search on everything I have done to this car and plan to do.

However. One thing that needed little research was tyres. From the very early days, well before I even ordered the car, I realised that an upgrade to MPSS tyres would be a good one and as soon as I got through my P Zeros, I would put some on.

Well 5000 miles of some 'spirited driving' was enough and the MPSS tyres went on the rear.

I did not expect the transformation they have given the car. They are remarkable. In the dry they just stick and stick and stick. I even dare to throttle coming out the bends rather than waiting til the wheels are in line.

In the wet they are also very sure footed. Yes, they will let go but even when they do, it is just so much more controllable. You feel like they are at least 'trying' to grip and push you forwards where the P Zeros will just throw in the towel and give up.

Lowered and Wheels Spaces
Coupled with the tyres, lowering and adding the wheel spacers along with caber bolts and alignment have literally transformed this car. My new favourite pastime is throwing this car into and out of roundabouts. Its like being on a scalextric track. Honestly, it is just incredible. And Yes, it looks the freaking dogs balls!!

Roush Axle Backs

Thanks to @djone101 for this. I told him what I wanted from an exhaust and he suggested this. Much cheaper than a full system and yes. If I could have bottler the noise I was after, this is it.

I had two worries about exhaust. One was that it would be too noisy and the other that it would be too quite. This is freaking perfect.

The very initial burst from cold start at 6am does make me cringe a bit but it settles in to a nice burbling tick over that doesn't piss off the neighbours...I have asked.

Going through town centres it is enough to get people to look but not so much that its unsociable. It brings out all the beauty of that V8 but none of the unwanted rasping and hign pitch tones.

We did some video and you will see that some of it was out in the country. My lad,who took the video, said you could hear it echoing around the fields. Put some good headphones on and you can just about hear the echo. Well, just have a listen.

Front Splitter
I am so pleased with this. I didnt really like any of the splitters available so I decided to get a Steeda one and modify it. Buying a 400 quid put and then trusting the body shop to hack it apart seems crazy, and I had to pretty much mark up what I wanted done. So it was all down to me.

Yeh, I admit, I got it right

[/ATTACH]

Well, its on to what to do next now. I have some plans in mind.

The day you don't turn back to look at your car after parking it, is the day you sell. Don't let it happen.

What spacers have you used? Did they fit straight on without modification ? You car has a special place in my heart. It's the reason I ordered one when I saw it at goodwood.
