Is that something to do with the rain-sensing option? You know you can turn that off?

I hate wipers going off randomly whenever they sense something on the screen so that was the first thing I did whilst playing with the various settings.

No, it was pouring when I parked the car up yesterday and I turned the car off while the wipers were going, so they had been like that when the screen froze.

I always turn off autowipers after my brother managed to burnout the wiper motor when a clump of snow came off his car roof and jammed the wipers while the motor proceeded to fry its self trying to clear the screen. His fault for not clearing the snow on the roof (Illegal too) and lightened his wallet of £400. A lesson he will not repeat :doh:

Allegedly yes, but I have never see evidence of it on mine or any other car
If it does exist I dont think the black stripe would affect it somehow.

You'd put something ontop of it, of course it would effect it, i'd expect my wrap not to show it up either.

P.S just had a quick google, can't see anything about this [MENTION=16001]avocet[/MENTION] (might just be me missinterpreting).
It's basically a logo, that shows up when the car is cold, on the 'hood/bonnet' of the car?

Completely disagree.
If this supposed logo exists it would be by way of how the designed the insulation under the bonnet (I would imagine) so that it would encourage dew not to form in a certain area. A stripe would affect this no more than a coat of paint.
