Too much original material taken away from hood, which means less surface area for the vents to bond to, not sure why there was so much original material cut away for this mod :shrug:

Yeh, as Manders Mustang says, we took away the bare minimum. Just enough for where the vent dips down into the hood.

It simply a case of not enough bond being put in to fill the gap between the vent and the hood.

You can see from the pic that it is well bonded at the back of the vent, the bit in the middle does nothing and then the front bit obviously bonded originally but not well enough. I reckon that if we bond a plastic block on to the hood towards the front of the vent and then glue the whole area, it will be fine.

Will get it right next time.

Thats the thing.
It was parked off road at my house. We live on a road that does not get much foot traffic, especially at night. No nearby pubs and a long way from the town. It feels very much like the car, or myself were targeted and someone took the time and effort to stop to do it!

My car was egged while parked on the drive (likely to be some random or school kid) a month back. Heard a bang and thought nothing of it but went out say 10 mins later to find egg on the car - cleaned if off immediately although there was slight chip to the paint in circular motion. Glad took out the vandalism cover with Ford when bought the car as having it repaired. But who walks around with an egg - it's not Halloween or anything?!
