For those that don't know me my name is Jared Rosen and I'm one of the owners here at Lethal Performance Inc. I purchased my first mustang on July 1 2002 which was a black 2003 cobra coupe. It was this car that got me into this industry as I found out early on finding parts to modify my cobra was difficult. I started Lethal Performance in late 2004 and what an amazing ride it's been.
My cobra originally had simple bolt-ons such as a smaller pulley, JLT intake, custom tuning from Chris Johnson, Kooks headers and a magnaflow catback. Eventually I ended up putting a 2.2L KB on the car with all of the supporting mods where it made 600+ rwhp on pump gas.
It was in 2005 when I met Dustin Whipple of Whipple Superchargers and we started carrying their products. Shortly after when Dustin had designed the 3.4L for the Cobra I put one on. Then swapped the 3.4L out for the 4.0L. It was tuned by Ken Bjonnes on E85 and made just shy of 880rwhp. I believe this was around the time I painted the car grabber blue and swapped out the IRS for a solid axle. In April 2013 the car was the cover feature of 5.0 Mustang Magazine & Super Fords thanks to my good friend Editor Steve Turner.
Unfortunately life happens and between home life and business the car sat for many years in our warehouse neglected. A few times over the years I've wanted to get it back up and running but got sidetracked and it never happened. It was just a few months back that I got sick of looking at it up against the wall in the warehouse so I decided it was time.
I ordered up a bunch of parts which are listed below and the car will be headed to Lujan Motorsports next week to begin the build. Please make sure to follow the build on the Lethal Performance Youtube channel and subscribe so you receive updates when any new content is uploaded.
My build will consist of:
Ford Performance Gen 3 Coyote motor with 10 Speed 10R80 automatic transmission
Whipple Gen 5 3.8L Coyote Kit
Ultimate Headers LT's
DivisionX Triple pump return style fuel system
ID1300x Injectors
UPR K-Member and A-Arms
Viking Coilovers for the front and rear
Power by the Hour Coyote Swap kit with all of the fixings
Custom Tuning by Ken Bjonnes of Palm Beach Dyno
Still undecided on wheel/tire setup but should figure that out here shortly.
