Also keep in mind that if you were to do that you would most likely not have a street legal car. So it takes a full blown race car to beat a four door family sedan. Hmmm!

one race, great, going rounds all day. Sorry tesla.
Yes they are fast, but it is an oversized rc car with a bellybutton body. To each there own I'm sure some love them. Maybe if they stuffed the drivetrain in a Daytona coupe. or an interesting body.

Yes, if you throw $100K at a Mustang, you can beat a Plaid.
99% of the 'news' (cough cough) stories on the internet are complete nonsense.

HAHA nO!
If I wanted to buy a bland/boring looking vehicle, I'd have bought a fusion and Not a Mustang.

The part that I have a beef with is the fact that Tesla, gets a pass for producing a 50-140k vehicles that have a problem besting a yugo's fit and finish. but they get a pass for selling pure garbage. that the same folks would and do blast, gm,Ford, mopar and others for in their 20k vehicles.
This less we forget. Tesla's fire balls, they again get a pass, where the same yoyo's after one volt turning into a fire ball after a wreck no less. Basicly killed off that model because of that.
The double standards is ASTOUNDING.
The idea of a fast ev' bring it ,all for it. But when the same people that complain that ford or gm or mopar or hell honda/etc interior looks like cheap plastic put together by 5 y/o's that give a 130k vehicle a pass for the same or worse.
That is my beef. not with the idea of the ev car itself.
But I am wondering why you don't trade in your stang for one if you like it so much.

People buying plaids have zero interest in a mustang… completely different brackets… if they look for “sport” most of them have their eyes into R8, gtr, 911 etc, not mustangs… not even a gt500…

Yes, if you throw $100K at a Mustang, you can beat a Plaid.

Not that it's really worth explaining to you a$$holes, but one could throw "$100K at a (modded) Mustang" or one could throw "(an additional) $100K at a (stock) Mustang."
let me educate you for future references:

1. if you throw $100K at a Mustang. The action of throwing money at a mustang. Specially $100k. Not against a mustang. Imagine the mustang is a stripper and you are throwing 100k to it.

then there is a coma, separating the next statement: YOU CAN BEAT A PLAID.

That part defeats your whole question…

so, fuck me? Sorry but the only fucked part here is your reading comprehension… 1 thing is the ability to read and another one the ability to understand what you are reading.

good morning people. Have a nice day.

Why? I’m I not allowed to like both? Besides this thread was about a stupid drag race video. Once again it was turned into a bitch session against Tesla’s and EV’s. Time to ignore.

Because you are on a ice performance forum. Nothing wrong with ev's I stated that, the problem is the double standards and when pointed out the person turns into a 4y/o that takes his ball and goes home because he isn't getting his way. The comment of "ignore" because you don't want to hear an opinion that doesn't mirror yours.
Have a great Sunday.
Off to church in the wife's model 3. Ya we own one, and know the faults. but I guess are not allowed to speak of them, per the Fan bois

Apologies if you think my ignore comment was made to stifle your opinion. Nothing could be further from the truth. You are certainly entitled to it especially since it is made with actual knowledge. You realize that the majority of negative comments are made by folks who have never driven or even sat in a Tesla/EV (I have).

Personally I would never buy a Tesla for some of the reasons you mentioned. But my wife’s next vehicle will most likely be an EV. Me, I’ll keep my Coyote! :like: :fistbump:

Me thinks you over reach.....

I don't own a Tesla, but have many friends with them to include S/X/3, no Y's yet. All have been flawless, the 3 is pretty spartan and I find them odd, but they have great driving dynamics, and features. One friend has two. His wife has a long distance model, he has the performance. His wife was one of the first owners in VA (2017), and he bought one the next year (2018). Combined they have over 100K problem free miles. My brother in law just bought a performance model, has driven it from Austin TX to VA several times and the trip only took them 2 extra hours due to charging. My uncle has 2010 Model S that drives and looks as new. He just turned 100K and had some battery work recently. Was done at an independent shop that replaced a couple bad cells and the repair was a fraction of a new battery unit.

Universally problem free? Not at all, but the Market tells a different story than the thread you are weaving. Tesla is lightyears ahead of most of the other EV manufacturers. If I ever go for an EV it would have to be the Taycan or something similar.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tesla release their '2' model, and hoping it has a traditional gauge pack, is a 5 door hatch, and a more traditional grill/front. They should also do a Maverick style UTE based on the new 2 or existing 3 chassis.

Since we're on the topic of Tesla, what bothers me most about the cars isn't their performance or build quality. I know little about the latter and don't care about the former. I suppose I just don't get caught up on the question of whether my car is faster than someone else's. It's fast enough for me, which is all that matters.

So, what bothers me most? It's the total fraud involved with Tesla's "self-driving car" technology. You don't have to dig too deep to discover that this shit doesn't work and won't for quite some time (if ever). Maybe it's okay in highly controlled environments and situations, but there's no way that current technology can live up to the needs of real-world driving.

And as more people buy Teslas and start using this technology, people will die who wouldn't otherwise. Mark my words. Of course, for now, Tesla covers their ass with the highlighted disclaimer, which contradicts the feature's name. It would be comical if it weren't so deadly. I'd say Elon Musk is a horrible person for perpetrating this fraud, but I think he really believes his own hype -- and, of course, he also believes that we probably live in a computer simulation, so he's actually just delusional.

Enough about EVs in a bad driver thread. Time to segue to.... religion!

Mathew 19:24 has been misinterpreted for centuries because nobody understood some of the words. So, they substituted another phrase that sounded logical.

A more accurate translation is: “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for an EV driver to enter into the kingdom of God.”
