Need help, never had a mustang, always wanted one, never had a v8, still don't have one but have ordered a gt. What does NSC mean?
The NSC is a code given to identify your order, prior to a VIN being allocated to the car (which only happens a few weeks prior to it being built). The NSC can take some time to be allocated - the early orders seemed to be taking 6 months or so to get one, but more recent orders have been quicker. Ford seem to have been better at sending you via email in recent times too.

Once you have it, you can use it to try and find out more information about your order from places like the Ford Facebook service.

It is the order number that logs you into Fords system pending a VIN. If you send your NSC to ford FB messaging they can give you your VIN once it has been assigned.

Hey JOS,

The NSC is the Stock Code. You can get it from your dealer - the salesperson will need to get it from the dealer's Stock Controller. Once you have that, you can PM Ford Service on Facebook for the VIN (which may take time because they're not allocated until a few weeks before build.

Read the first post in the sticky thread called ETIS and Window Sticker Process.

Welcome to the forum JOS, if you have a good read of the Sticky threads you will be an expert by the time you are finished (and have a lot of mods ordered at the same time) all the answers you possibly want are on here by people that have done the hard yards. sit back and enjoy the long (and somewhat frustrating) wait. trust me you will have plenty of time to dream and plan you Stang.

I ordered 14 May 16, had no NSC at all, even though my dealer was good. Came across the VIN via paperwork 2 weeks ago from Ford after adding accessories at the dealership. That day he said the delivery on his system jumped from April 2017 to Jan 2017? He wanted to check with Ford first as he thought it was unusual.

Like others I keyed in the VIN and showed was being built.

It gave a build date of 21/12/16. Still in transit. Ford on FB have told me it will arrive at Baltimore on the 3rd Jan, being tomorrow USA time. I messaged them again today and was told contact them end of Jan to see what vessel it's on as it's 90 days from build to delivery.

I seem to get conflicting info depending who I ask.

The dealer said at times it's showing in transit then it just shows up at the dealer. So I will just track it online myself and if I get the call sooner than later that it's arrived then happy days.
Expect it about 3 months after being built. It will show in transit until it is delivered to your dealer.. Mine was built 5th Oct and I am taking delivery any day now. You can watch it come out on the ship once they tell you the ship it is on. You will enjoy tha month voyage.
Now go to <http://www.2wglobal.com/support/frequently-asked-questions/how-can-i-track-my-shipment/#.WGtW81zdnIU> click on "track and trace" and put your VIN into "cargo ID". It will come up "no record found" until they allocate you a ship and then all of a sudden, one day, it will give you all the information of the boat you are on, when it is leaving Baltimore, when it gets to your port etc etc. Don't worry about coutus or etis any more. Once you have your ship, go to "vesselfinder.com" or "findship.com" or "trackship.com". Enjoy the ride and the pain lol. Hope this helps.

Wow, I can't believe the lack of communication from some of your dealers.

I received an email from mine as soon as the vin was assigned, including the links for Etis, WWL, FleetMon and Marinetracker.

It seems I picked a good one? I am in the industry though, so that may have influenced the service I got.

This might help you a bit. Mine was on Tarago which got into Port Kembla on the 22nd Dec and it is arriving at my dealer today in Newcastle the 4th Jan. But we also had the Xmas and New year in the middle. Cheers and be patient as it will all happen soon for you. Yes, it is an apprehensive time.
