G'day Davo

Just a quick one for you: My car is booked on the Talisman and according to the Track and Trace on the shipping website, inputing my vin number in Cargo ID gives an ETD of 18th May and yet if I were to check latest schedule on the shipping site, it shows ETD for Talisman of 19th May

Can you make any sense of that- seems a bit weird?

It'll be one or the other, or perhaps another! I'd go for the 18th at the moment.

The schedules come out weeks or months in advance, I suspect that the date when you input your VIN is more accurate, but even this can drift off!

I input the ships on the chart when the schedules are announced, then adjust the dates later using the VINs.

Hope that helps! It'll only be a matter of 1, rarely 2, days variance, at the most. You're nearly there:clap2:

Cheers!

If it makes you feel better mine was built on 18th March and got to port at 4th April. It's now been over 5 weeks for it to get loaded on the Talisman.
For what it's worth for others, I think the time from Flat Rock to Baltimore and when it actually gets on a boat can vary significantly and is a bit of a lottery. I was never able to determine when my Stang got to Baltimore but it was built on the 25th Feb and took approx. 7 weeks before it was loaded on to the Tijuca (departed 10th Apr). I checked the w2global website every day from the 1st Mar and it wasn't until 1st Apr that I got the confirmation she'd be on the Tijuca.

After approx. a 14 month wait from order to delivery to me, all I can say is hang in there and make use of the many resources and free info offered by the members of this forum, it will all be worth it in the end!!

Update: 21 May 2016

Thanks to 2-STANG for the info about the new shipping schedules. Thanks to Jarv23 about his waiting time - like you my car has gone missing after being built on 27 Apr. I've only started to check the track and trace in the last couple of days, optimistic I know.

I've decided to be a little less Melbourne-centric. I've listed arrival dates at all the ports, as the cars are now consistently being unloaded at the appropriate ports.

I've asked FordService here 3 times over 3 weeks, and FordAU on Facebook. They all say that the there haven't been any status updates:confused: I've assumed that Deysha is part of FordService?

Yeah she is part of FordService on the forum. Well I'm sure it's there by now, given yours was built a couple days before mine

It is the date on the dealer database that has segmentation date. Initially it was June 2 but last week got my VIN and build date changed to June 13. Again this can change and on ETIS l just 30.11.0002 . As it gets closer to June 13 I'll keep trying etis forthe date. As you probably know it's not an exact science :)
