That's disgraceful! I've never heard of anyone waiting this long.

I thought so too but from what I've read there is no rhyme or reason to deposit / delivery times. All good things come to those that wait and wait a bit longer.

Mix 302 , when did you order your Gt . If I could get a few examples of cars that were order after mine and have had cars built or delivered , I could go to dealer and ask for an explanation .

so annoying quite a few people ordered after me (mine 17th May) and have their cars already. I think the dealers were very slack getting the orders on the list.:frusty:

I know how you feel. I ordered mine on the 28th March 2015, initially it was meant to be a December 2015 delivery but it has been pushed back until August 2016. I must have missed the first batch of allocations.

Finally she's on a boat, i'm sure it will be worth the wait.

What does Ford AU say when you contact them on Facebook? Surely they must be able to give you a build date.

Ford au gave me my vin over the phone a month ago , then late last week my window sticker became available through research mechanics website. This in turn told me my blend date of 0806 (month/day). Ford au said it was a long wait but worth it.
I have heard nothing from the dealer except the fgx xr ute I wanted was out of production, which was bulldust as another dealer placed my order with ford and I picked it up2 weeks ago. Great ute by the way.

I waited 14 and a half months for mine to turn up

Gut feel I've got from the forum is...

15 months is "normal" for a range of orders... the really early guys had 2 year waits because they ordered so early, then they settled in to 12-15 months, then there was a rash of shorter arrivals because of the discontinued colours, and now the new allocation means they're back at 12-15 months ;)

(Yeah, has anyone been given an ETA less than 12 months? Seems that extra 2000 didn't do much from a few posts I've seen on here).
